1. What is Meshtastic?
Meshtastic is an open-source project based on LoRa technology that enables you to build a completely free, long-range off-grid communication system anywhere, even without any network infrastructure.
2. How to join Meshtastic?
To use Meshtastic, you need special devices like the T1000-E, similar to how you need a phone to use 4G/5G/WiFi. These devices can communicate directly to send text messages, and any device can act as a repeater to forward messages.

Applications
The Meshtastic mesh network is built by individual Meshtastic devices (also known as nodes) within a certain range. All nodes within this “network” can send and forward messages to each other, making it ideal for situations where there is no reliable network infrastructure but communication is needed. For example, remote outdoor activities, crowded large-scale events, or emergency response.
